L'unica stazione ferroviaria lungo il Sognefjord si trova a Flåm, che da sola merita un viaggio. La Flåmsbana è stata eletta itinerario in treno più spettacolare al modo dalla Lonely Planet nel 2014 e si collega alla stazione ferroviaria di Bergen-Oslo a Myrdal, con diverse partenze giornaliere tutto l'anno.
