TULUS + Visegard || Hulen
TULUS + Visegard || Hulen CC: 350/280 ID: 18 ---------- Tulus TULUS was founded in 1991 in Nittedal, Norway, and is the firstblack metalband Blodstrupand Sarke from Khold played in. The debut album was recorded in 1996. TULUS will forever be an underground cult act, and they have always kept true to their own style of primitive yet groovy, cold, filthy black metal. With the exception of "Biography Obscene" they have kept the lyrics in Norwegian. In 2019, the band's first three studio albums, "Pure Black Energy", "Mysterion" and "Evil 1999" were re-released on CD and for the first time ever on vinyl. In March 2020, their first new studio album since 8 years, "Old Old Death", was released, and the band played an exclusive festival appearance in Finland just before the world shut down. In 2022, the band played some select festivals, like Inferno and Karmøygeddon in Norway, and Netherlands Deathfest. December 30, the band premiered a documentary on the band's history and the making of the new album. In 2023, the band's seventh studio album, "Fandens Kall", was released by Soulseller Records. The band played some shows, including a festival appearance in Mexico. In 2026, the band has released their studio album number eight, "Morbid Desires", through Darkness Shall Rise Productions. The band will play at Party, San Open Air and further shows are planned. Blodstrup: Vocals/guitars Crowbel: Bass Sarke:Drums Visegard Visegard has roots in the classic 90s wave of dark and ice-cold black metal. The Telemark band blends folk belief, pagan tones and a brutality that earns them the right to reign on "En trone av gran"! For those in doubt – check out the song "Hvor Gausta rår"! In 2014 Visegard released their debut album "Burning the Path of Happiness" on digital platforms. It would take over 10 years before this album saw the light of day in physical format. Rising from the ashes came a remastered edition of the album, for the first time in physical format (LP, CD and MC) earlier this year. In addition to this brand new release, Visegard brings along the split album "Kirkegard" (2021), the EP "Skogsdømt" (2022) and the 7" vinyl "Høststormens Tilbakekomst" (2024) in their luggage. - Bergen11.09.2026
Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra: Cavalleria Rusticana
In his final season as Principal Guest Conductor, Sir Mark Elder leads a performance of the most concise and emotive opera in the Italian verisimo tradition. Cavalleria Rusticana is a tale of obsession, jealousy and love turning lethal set to some of the most heartbreaking music composed for the opera stage. On Easter Morning in a Sicilian village, a local woman shunned by her community and abandoned by her lover faces a choice: expose her former love’s affair with a married woman risking a very public vengeance, or allow the sacred rituals to mask injustice and drown-out her cries? Having led English National Opera at its height in the 1990s, Sir Mark Elder continues to conduct the leading opera companies of the world including the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia where he has been Music Director since 2025. He has assembled a first-class cast led by Ekaterina Semenchuk’s Santuzza for this concert performance of Pietro Mascagni’s emotive one-act opera, a piece of music theatre that can set the blood racing like few others. - PrenotaBergen19.09.2026
EKSTRA: Sigvart Dagsland – Det er makt i de foldede hender – Bergen kirkeautunnale
Sigvart finally goes on hymn tour again "It is 30 years since my hymn record Det er makt i de foldede hender came out. At the time I was completely unprepared for the reception from the audience, which was quite simply overwhelming. One might have thought it was churchgoers who bought the record and came to the concerts, but it reached a much broader audience. I do not quite know why. But I felt myself that there was a power in these old songs, a power that did not leave me unaffected. And now I have not played them for a long time. And never before have we performed the entire record. But we are doing something about that this year: On the autumn church tour we will simply play the entire record. Live. In addition we play some of the most hymn-like of my own songs, as well as the odd one from the Hymns album. This will be a one-off occasion, and it will be wonderful! With me I have three fantastic musicians: Torjus Vierli on grand piano, David Wallumrød on Hammond organ and Espen Tappel on guitars. This will be fun!" Sigvart This concert is in Norwegian. BLOXHAM TAPES @ BERGEN KJØTT: DAVID THOMAS BROUGHTON (UK/JP) - Celebrated Avant-folk troubadour known for his off-kilter and unpredictable live shows. ROB NOYES (US/JP) - American solo 12-string guitarist/composer in the tradition of Basho, Renbourn et al. Saturday 12. september Bergen Kjøtt Bar (1. etasje) Skutevikstorget 1, 5032 Bergen, Norway 20:00 Doors 20:30 Concerts start Tickets on the door: 200 kr / 150kr studenter (+ no-one turned away for lack of funds!) ................. Bloxham Tapes returns to Bergen Kjøtt with more experimental sounds for an unsound world! This time we are pleased to welcome two Tokyo-based musicians, David Thomas Broughton and Rob Noyes. DAVID THOMAS BROUGHTON Hailing from Otley, Yorkshire in the north of the UK, David Thomas Broughton has spent the last 20 years making music that intertwines beauty and discomfort, spanning solo projects and diverse collaborations and that seems designed to constantly keep us guessing as listeners. Broughton's live performances are known for their spontaneity and unpredictability, where Broughton continually reworks, dismantles and bends his music into new forms resulting in a show that blends intimacy, humour, improvisation and abstraction. His discography includes seminal one-take albums like his debut 'The Complete Guide to Insufficiency' and his collaboration with jazz-folk quartet 7 Hertz, 2010's 'Outbreeding' produced by Andy Ramsey (Stereolab), the feedback-laced 'UnAbleTo' cassette from 2013, and 2014's 'Sliding The Same Way' with vocal trio Juice. In 2016, he released the triple album opus 'Crippling Lack' where he collaborated remotely with various artists including Aidan Moffat, Beth Orton and Sam Amidon. Excitingly, a new album is on the horizon. This next release will be an improvised trio recording with acclaimed pianist Matthew Bourne and underground music's drum legend Neil Turpin. ROB NOYES Rob Noyes is an acclaimed composer and guitar player, originally from the Boston area, now residing in Tokyo, Japan. Starting in 2016, he established himself as a solo acoustic guitarist in the tradition of Robbie Basho, John Renbourn, Davey Graham, Michael Chapman, and Wizz Jones. Live Noyes is fierce, singular and genuinely breathtaking to watch. It is the kind of playing that lifts the spirits and reminds us of how exciting solo guitar can really be. In 2016, Rob released The Feudal Spirit on Boston's Poon Village label to wide acclaim featuring artwork by Raymond Pettibon. He followed that with the Arc Minutes LP on VDSQ. Rob has also released collaborations or split records with Joseph Allred, Alexander, Sam Moss, Ryan Lee Crosby, Greg Kelley, and Ayami Suzuki. ---<3--- ACCESS Bergen Kjøtt Bar (1. floor) has access from street level, welcomes service dogs and has toilet facilities available for all genders which are wheelchair accessible. Kampfar + support: Heimland + Stryknin || Hulen
KAMPFAR + support: Heimland + Strychnine || THE CAVE CC: 380 / 320* ID: 18 ---------- KAMPFAR Since 1994, Kampfar has delivered black metal of the highest class, both on record and on stage. Nine albums and two EPs have been released, which was celebrated with a 30th anniversary show on many of Europe's major festival stages in 2024. Now, two years later, the focus has been on Latin America, as well as a few selected shows in Europe. And among these shows, the band chooses to come home to Hulen again, a stage they have extra strong ties to. For more than 30 years, Kampfar has been a standard-bearer for Norwegian black metal, always with his own voice and his own expression, always on his own terms. They have received two Spellemann awards in addition to a nomination, and as a live band they are known for being one of the best we have to offer in this country. Intense and honest, epic and raw, a Kampfar concert is a journey through the centuries-long roots of Norwegian music, shaped into its distinctive expression and performed by musicians who fully master their craft. HEIMLAND HEIMLAND was formed in 2016 and stands as a band outside the framework of time. With roots in the Norwegian black metal tradition and especially its more pagan expressions – they carry on the legacy with their own strength and vision. After the strong reception of their debut album Forædrenes Taarer, the band is now back with their latest work: Der Torv Meets Hav. The album continues HEIMLAND's dark and atmospheric expression, where raw power and timeless moods meet in a soundscape that honors both the past and the present. STRYKNIN With headquarters in Østfold, Strychnine operates commando operations wherever the darkness and death front stretches. Pounding drums, cutting guitars and the screams of dying men storm the crowd wherever they muster. Endless and merciless, black metal and death metal, the devil steps over corpses that decorate the barbed wire. Everywhere violence and darkness reign. - PrenotaBergen13.09.2026
BAJAZZ: NABOEN MIN
Naboen Min welcomes young and old to a concert with a kick! Naboen Min is the band of children's book author and songwriter Vegard Markhus and producer/guitarist Bjørnar Sangolt. The duo brings along the rest of the band, and promises a mix of old and new. Naboen min aims to get children singing, dancing, smiling and laughing. The music ranges from rock and pop to ballads, and you can also find inspiration from both reggae and country. In the lyrics you find both humour and seriousness. You get to hear about dancing body parts, jumping animals and people who need comfort. And if you want to learn some words in alien language, you have come to the right place. The band has previously released the records "Rockesock" and "Alt blir feil". The music is played frequently on Radio Super. For the record "Rockesock" the band received the Spellemannspris in the children's music category. STARS - 15/9 KL. 18:00
Konrad Wolf, the emblematic director of the former German Democratic Republic (GDR), spent the bulk of his work exploring the wounds of the 20th century by defying official censorship with humanist sensitivity and an assumed anti-Nazism. Raised in Moscow after his family fled Nazi Germany, the filmmaker showcases his unfailing artistic and political commitment in 1959 with Sterne (Stars), one of the first films of the Seventh Art to sharply confront German responsibility in the Holocaust. Inspired by the recollections of Bulgarian screenwriter Angel Wagenstein, Stars (Sterne), set in 1943, tells the tragic love story of Ruth (Sascha Kruscharska), an imprisoned Greek Jewish teacher, and Walter (Jürgen Frohriep), a German sergeant posted in a Bulgarian transit camp. Behind barbed wire, a fragile connection blossoms between them, borne of thwarted hopes and dreams shattered by the Nazi machine. By staging the story of this brief affair in a camp before deportation to Auschwitz, Konrad Wolf reminds us with sensitivity that love, however fleeting, will always be an act of resistance in the face of the unspeakable. Upon its release, Stars (Sterne) was awarded the Jury's Special Prize at the Festival de Cannes and Konrad Wolf became internationally known. Foregoing a dramatic approach, he opts for an intimate angle, where every gesture and every gaze is significant, and as such delivers an essential film on the subversive resilience of humankind, reminding us of the power of cinema in the face of historical tragedies. DEMOLITION BAND - STING & THE POLICE
Stitch. The Police. Immortal songs. One evening. Demolition Band is finally back – and they're not coming to play carefully. Remember to book a table for the best experience Since 2004, the band has built a reputation as one of Norway's strongest tributes to Sting & The Police, with a stage energy and musical accuracy that has time and time again sent audiences on their feet. In 2018, they filled the house to the brim with a full performance of Ten Summoner's Tales. And yes – this is also the band that in 2006 played the nachspielet after the Sting concert at Koengen, with Sting himself sitting in the bar next door while his own songs thundered from the stage. Expect a hit parade without breaks: Message in a Bottle, Roxanne, Every Breath You Take, Englishman in New York, Fields of Gold – and many more. Sing along. Order a bottle. Relive the songs you know by heart. Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra: With the hardanger fiddle in one hand and the violin in the other
The sound of the hardanger fiddle, with its distinctive tuning and resonating overtones, connects Norway to its deepest musical traditions while channeling centuries of joy and sorrow, patience and fortitude. A brand-new piece by our Composer-in-Residence Ørjan Matre combines the evocative sounds of the hardanger fiddle with the refined world of the classical violin. To play it, we welcome a musician who excels on both instruments and even managed to win Norway the Eurovision Song Contest on her hardanger fiddle in 2009 – Ragnhild Hemsing. After the new concerto and two hypnotic excerpts from Matre’s own reworking of Edvard Grieg’s Lyric Pieces, Nicholas Collon conducts a symphony by Shostakovich that has been likened to ‘a film score without a film.’ In his arresting Symphony No 11, Shostakovich depicted the failed uprising of 1905, a pre-cursor to the Russian Revolution of 12 years later. As the great cellist Mstislav Rostropovich observed, this intensely-felt piece bears witness not just to the events of 1905, but to the tragically persistent patterns of suppression and violence in human history. - PrenotaBergen17.09.2026
