OsloSt. Hanshaugen
St. Hanshaugen is one of Oslo's largest parks, located just north of the city centre. This popular recreational area is great for walks, and from the top of the hill you have a nice view of Oslo. St. Hanshaugen was originally a bare rock hill. In the 1840s the name St. Hanshaugen ("midsummer hill") came into use, as the hill was a popular place for midsummer celebrations. In 1936, an open-air café was built at Festplassen - the square on top of the hill - which is still a popular summer café today.
Kvadraturen
Kvadraturen è il nome del quartiere della città situato tra la fortezza di Akershus festning e Grensen, delimitato dalla Piazza della Stazione (Jernbanetorget) e dalla piazza Egertorget. È in questa zona che il re Cristiano IV fece ricostruire la città dopo il grande incendio del 1624. La zona si chiama Kvadraturen per la forma quadrata delle strade che la delimitano. In Rådhusgata, appena fuori dalla fortezza, trovate la piazzetta Christiania Torv, con la sua fontana molto particolare, caratterizzata da una mano che indica un punto, simboleggiando così la decisione di Cristiano IV, che esclamò "La città sorgerà qui!" dopo l'incendio del 1624. In questo quartiere trovate alcuni edifici ben conservati risalenti al 1600, per esempio il primo municipio e il ristorante più antico della città, il Café Engebret.
OsloBarcode
Il Barcode a Bjørvika è composto da 12 grattacieli di diverse altezze e larghezze. Tra gli edifici ci sono spazzi vuoti in modo da far sembrare il tutto un immenso codice a barre (Barcode in inglese). A parte la forma complessiva, gli edifici sono molto diversi, con molti piacevoli particolari architettonici e stranezze. Il concetto vuole esprimere la vicinanza al fiordo, l'accesso alla luce ed una certa leggerezza. Bjørvika Barcode è un progetto disegnato da MVRDV di Rotterdam e le imprese norvegesi DARK Architects and A-lab. E 'realizzato come una fila di grattacieli “multi uso” progettati da diversi studi di architettura. La costruzione di Barcode fa parte del più ampio progetto di sviluppo dell`area di Bjørvika. Gli edifici alti sono situati vicino al fjordo di Oslo, e hanno ridefinito radicalmente l'orizzonte di una città che era tipicamente caratterizzata da edifice bassi. Nonostante il Barcode fu inizialmente accoltto con poco entusiasmo, oggigiorno è considerato simbolo della nuova Oslo. Il progetto ha suscitato interesse ed ha ricevuto anche un riconoscimento a livello internazionale. OsloAker Brygge
Per più di un secolo il porto di Aker Brygge ha ospitato i cantieri navali Akers Mekaniske Verksted. Dal 1986, all'apertura dei primi negozi nel progetto di rinnovamento della zona , l'aera è diventata un punto di ritrovo importante per la città e ospita oggi molti centri commerciali, appartamenti, uffici, ristoranti, teatri e centri fitness. Si tratta di un vero e proprio quartiere moderno, a ridosso del fiordo di Oslo. I palazzi hanno uno stile ben definito, con un mix tra tradizione (I tipici cantieri navali di un tempo) e architettura moderna. Nei mesi estivi Aker Brygge è il luogo di ritrovo numero uno per gli abitanti della città, sia durante il giorno che la sera, grazie ai numerosi ristoranti e locali. Negiozi, ristoranti, appartamenti, uffici, cinema, teatri, bar e locali notturni. Questa zona ha praticamente tutto, inclusa passeggiata lungomare e un ampio parcheggio. Si tratta di una bella combinazione di architettura e panorama del fiordo di Oslo, combinazione che crea una finestra unica, una perla sul mare.
OsloSørenga
Formerly an old container dock, Sørenga in Oslo has been transformed into a brand new neigbourhood by the Oslo fjord. The area consists of residential complexes with exciting architectural details and welcomes both residents and visitors to enjoy life at the water’s edge. A green park with several channels stretches through the whole neighbourhood. At the southernmost tip you’ll find Sørenga Seawater Pool, a popular recreational spot for Oslovians in summertime. Several waterfront restaurants offer great food in maritime surroundings, with a view to Oslo landmarks such as Barcode, the Oslo Opera House and Akershus Fortress. Sørenga is also a popular place for paddling. To get to Sørenga, just follow the new harbour promenade past the Opera House.
OsloBirkelunden
Popular park in the upper part of Grünerløkka between Paulus church and Grünerløkka school. The park was laid out in the 1860s, and contains a music pavilion from 1926 and a small park pool from 1928. On Sundays all year round, there is a bric-a-brac market in Birkelunden, which is often used for concerts, rallies and festivals. The blocks around Birkelunden mainly consist of three-/four-story apartment buildings from the 1870s and 1880s. The whole area is protected, including the park, Grünerløkka school, Paulus church and 15 blocks with 139 apartment buildings.
OsloSofienberg Park
The biggest park in the Grünerløkka area is a popular recreational area for the locals, especially the younger generations. The park has table tennis tables and a fun playground for the kids. In the middle of the park lies Sofienberg church. The park was originally a cemetery, inaugurated in 1858, but many people were critical to having a cemetery in a central and densely populated area. It was decided to gradually dismantle the cemetery and make a park, and in 1972 the construction of the whole park was completed. On the north side of the church, there is still a small, fenced graveyard for the Mosaic Religious Community. Norwegian name: Sofienbergparken

Akerselva Running Loops
Ready for a good run in beautiful surroundings? Whether your starting point is Grønland, Alexander Kiellands plass, Nydalen or anywhere in between, you should take full advantage of being so close to the river path along the Akerselva river. The entire path from Grønland up until Maridalsvannet lake is eight kilometres one way, making it perfect for a run of any length. There is a gradual climb up the whole way, but the hard work pays off on the downhill home! Difficulty level: Easy Elevation gain: 140 metres Time consumption: 0,5–2 hours Transportation: You can start from anywhere along the river. Good to know: The lower parts of the trail are paved, while the uppermost part from Sagene to the lake is gravel. Akerselva is also a great path for walks, biking and child strollers. Bicycle route: The Vantage Point Ekeberg
Several nice vantage points are found within cycling distance from the centre of Oslo. The Valhall curve has one of the best views in the city. It is also known as the place where Edvard Munch was inspired to paint his world-famous painting "Scream". You will recognise the painting's landscape contours as you enjoy the view from Valhallveien. A bicycle tour around Bygdøy is one of most delightful, romantic two-wheel rides in Oslo: Lush woods, park-like countryside, view of the sea, beaches, historic buildings and the royal cows are some of the sights along the way. From 1 January 2026, fishing in the inner Oslofjord, the Drammen Fjord and the Hurum Peninsula down to Moss, as well as Færder and Hvaler. is prohibited for both commercial and recreational fishers. OsloSognsvann lake

Big forest region in northern Oslo with ample outdoor recreation opportunities all year round. The routes in Nordmarka are usually well-marked, but a map is recommended for longer distances. Winter activities In winter there are more than 450 km of prepared, red-marked ski trails in Nordmarka, and some of them are illuminated in evenings. Summer activities In the summer you can find nice, blue-marked tracks for hiking, biking routes and idyllic lakes for swimming. Cabins Several of the cabins in Nordmarka are open to the public, either to take a break, enjoy a meal or spend the night. Most of them are owned and operated by the associations DNT Oslo og Omegn, Skiforeningen and Bymiljøetaten (the Municipality of Oslo). Bicycle route: The River Ride "Jungle Tour"
The River Ride is a "Jungle tour" of the west side by bicycle, in the valley Mærradalen, Oslo. Starting point: Radiumhospitalet, Ullern Easy arrival along the cycling route on Ring 3, from Smestad tram station (approx. 1.5 km) Route: Radium Hospital - Mærradalen - Hovseterskogen - Bogstad Farm Between Ringveien and the heavily trafficked highway 168, you will find a dense, "enchanted" forest in a little-known river valley; Mærradalen. This is a scenic route all summer long and a nice bicycle ride. Leave Ringveien one and a half kilometres west of Smestad Station and cycle uphill towards Husby along the stream Mærradalsbekken. Distance: 6 km Incline: 100 m Road surface: mostly gravel, a bit rough in places. To lengthen the ride a bit, head for Bogstad Manor, which you will reach by going under Highway 168, across the Hovseter fields and past Bogstad Camping. The road surface of the last kilometre before Bogstad Camping is slightly rough, but fully "cyclable" for those on a mountain bike.
Hike Barlindåsen Ridge
A great hike on a clear day, going up Barlindåsen Ridge is relatively easy and comes with a big reward as you look down on Oslo from the northeastern side of the city. The trail is located near Maridalsvannet, Oslo’s largest lake. Difficulty level: Medium Distance, one way: 5.7 kilometres (3.6 miles) Elevation change: 200 metres (656 feet) Time consumption: 2–2,5 hours Transportation: Park your car at Sandermosen train station. OsloØstensjøvannet lake
Oslo's richest wetland and bird reserve area, just five kilometres from the city centre and easily accessed by metro. Walk around the lake The graveled/paved trail around the lake is 4.5 kilometres (2.8 miles) long and is connected to a large network of trails in the Oslo forests. It takes less than an hour to walk around the water. Trails that start along the path can take you in the direction of Østmarka via Skullerud in the southeast or Svartdalsparken via Alnavassdraget in the northwest. Biodiversity The many natural habitats around Østensjø has given the area great biodiversity. In and around the lake, observers have counted 228 bird species and more than 20 mammals, as well as salamanders, frogs and lizards. Facts about Østensjøvannet lake Area: 0.29 square kilometres Length: 1770 metres Width: 260 metres The lake has been protected since 1992, and the area became an environmental park in 2002. In 2012, the site was authorised as a national wetland centre.
OsloLillomarka wilderness area
Popular all-year recreation area that covers 62 square kilometres northeast of the city centre, between Maridalen, Noida, Groruddalen and Movatn. Lillomarka is full of trails for cross-country skiing, horseback riding, walking and bicycling, and many picturesque lakes that are ideal for swimming and fishing. The area has four sports lodges: Lilloseter, Linderudkollen, Sinober and Trollvannstua.
Nordmarka's Classic Canoe Trip

OsloBogstadvannet lake
Bogstadvannet is a lake on the border between Oslo and Bærum with beach areas on both sides. The lake has perch, whitefish and trout and is a popular fishing spot all year round. Bogstadvannet and surroundings is a popular area for all types of outdoor recreation, and there are ski trails on the west side. Bogstad Manor, Bogstad Camping and Oslo Golf Club Bogstad are all located along the idyllic lakefront.

Grande impianto sciistico con quattro ascensori, due nastri trasportatori, cinque discese, scuola di sci e snowboard, noleggio, discesa da slittino, piste per sci di fondo e due caffetterie. L'Oslo Skisenter è composto da Grefsenkleiva e Trollvannskleiva. Grefsenkleiva ha le discese più lunghe per sciatori e snowboarder; la più lunga è di 950 metri. Qui trovate anche big jump, rails oltre a svariati più piccoli salti, con tavola calda/cafeteria e bagni all'aperto. Trollvannskleiva è perfetta per bambini e principianti, con discese dolci e un facilissimo skilift con velocità regolabile. La pista più lunga a Trollvann è di 400 metri. C'è anche una scuola di sci e snowboard, noleggio di sci e snowboard, discesa per slittino, tavola calda con camino e servizi igienici per i bambini e disabili.
