Whether you want to enjoy the silence, go for a walk in the forest, pick your own eggs for breakfast, or join in looking after our miniature animals, we have something to offer for everyone who wants to be closer to Norwegian nature. The place The blueberry is shaped like a ball that hangs in the forest behind their farm. It hangs 3-4 meters from the ground with access via a ladder. It is unique in Norway and offers a different experience where you feel the movements of the trees. It is designed and installed by engineers and wood specialists. Inside Blåbæret there is 1 double and 1 single bed. In the summer, the wooden tent has insect netts on all windows and the door. You have a private solar-heated shower as well as a private composting toilet on the ground. Other facilities include an outdoor food preparation area including a gas grill and necessary plates and cutlery. For winter use, the treetent is insulated and there is a small wood stove for cozy stays in colder weather. In winter, you also have access to a private indoor shower and kitchen. The modern composting toilet at the wooden tent also works well in winter. What do you have access to as a guest? The farm is about 90 acres and lies on the border of a large undeveloped forest area. As their guest, you have easy access to the forest, barn, pastures, garden and outdoor areas. Other things worth knowing They have a variety of livestock from mini horses, mini donkeys and mini goats, to chickens, dogs and cats. They will show you how to handle the animals safely. Forbord Dome is an exclusive glamping experience for two people in the heart of nature. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy the panoramic view over the Trondheimsfjorden, catch a magical sunset or see the fantastic northern lights if you're lucky. The dome is a full 23 square meters with a window in the roof and in the front and it is placed on a terrace on two levels with a seating area and fire pit. There are many great hiking opportunities in the area, how about a trip to the top of Forbordsfjellet? The dome is centrally located approx. 10 minutes from Trondheim Airport Værnes in Stjørdal and approx. 40 min. from Trondheim. The dome is placed by itself in the hillside up towards Forbordsfjellet, approx. 300 m.a.s.l and is open all year around. There are two parking options and the distance from parking to the dome is from 600-1500 meters depending on parking/route. You walk on a forest road from the car park to get all the way to the dome. In the dome there is a king-size double bed and a seating area for two people. There is plenty of heat in the dome (wood stove/diesel heater), but we recommend bringing warm clothes on cold days. You don't have to leave the dome to go to the bathroom, it has a separate room with a toilet. You are welcome to bring a dog or other pets, but due to allergies, these cannot be inside the dome. We do have a great dog house outside though. There is 10 liters of drinking water in the dome on arrival, otherwise little access to clean drinking water. You also have access to a primus and two saucepans for easy cooking. Remember that the primus must be used outdoors. There is also a grill grate for the brazier that can be used for grilling. Free access to tea and coffee.

Høylandet municipality is along county road 17, and is a perfect place to make a stop if you are driving the E6 or the coastal highway (F17) north or south. It is 1.3 km to walk up to the dome from the parking lot, so we recommend at least two nights to get the full benefits of the place and the surrounding area. The only thing you must bring is a cooler bag with food and drink. There is no electricity there, but solar light. There is a toilet there, but no shower. Food cannot be ordered, so you must bring it with you. There are two mineral waters, crisps/chili nuts and chocolate in the tent. They also have a welcome package for NOK 500. Then there is sparkling wine with strawberries from a local supplier. The price per day is NOK 2,300, including bed linen etc. and a fire pan and welcome pack are added as extras. Here you can spend the night in a sleeping carriage from the 1960s, in the middle of Namsen. This is a carriage that Gunde Svan once bought from Norway and we have bought back. Here you will find 10 compartments with 2 beds in each overlooking the river. Good mattresses in each bed. In each couch there is a washbasin with hot and cold water. The rooms are kept virtually identical to when the wagon was in operation. The sleeping carriage and the sanitary carriage are separated from the other cars by a distance of about 20 meters where there is a large seating area. This is reserved for overnight guests. Here you can enjoy the silence and calm with something good in the glass. In connection with the sleeping carriage there is a sanitary carriage with toilets, showers and a small drying room.

Accommodation of the year at Helgøya – Tree tents (Stingray). Helgøya Climbing Adventure Park has five tree-tents for hire. Each tent sleeps three adults. The tents can be set up at a location of your choice, but you are very welcome to “hang around” in the forest here at Helgøya Climbing Adventure Park, close to our cosy woodland shelter. The woodland shelter is in a secluded setting within easy reach of the climbing park, and has a campfire with firewood at hand. A full day in the high-ropes park followed by meal by the campfire and a night in a tree tent is the perfect outdoor adventure!
