Holmenkollen Ski Festival
Si tratta di uno degli eventi sportivi invernali più prestigiosi al mondo, con gare di salto con gli sci, sci di fondo e combinata nordica. Si svolge a Oslo ogni anno a marzo e attira migliaia di spettatori.
Oltre alle competizioni, il festival offre al pubblico una serie di attività, tra cui lezioni di sci, visite guidate ed eventi culturali. I visitatori possono anche cimentarsi nel salto con gli sci su un trampolino più piccolo, progettato per principianti.
Birkebeinerrennet
È una gara di sci di fondo che si svolge a marzo tra le città di Rena e Lillehammer. Ha un percorso lungo 54 chilometri e attira ogni anno più di 15.000 partecipanti.
L'atmosfera a Birkebeinerrennet è elettrizzante, con migliaia di spettatori che fanno il tifo per gli sciatori lungo tutta la pista. Questa competizione è una vera prova di determinazione, perseveranza e forza, e regala sicuramente a chi la porta a termine un incredibile senso di soddisfazione.
Vengono organizzate durante i mesi estivi anche una gara podistica e una ciclistica.
Ekstremsportveko
L'Ekstremsportveko è un evento annuale che si tiene a Voss, in Norvegia. È uno dei più grandi e rinomati festival di sport estremi del mondo. Riunisce atleti, appassionati e spettatori da tutto il mondo per partecipare e assistere a un'ampia gamma di entusiasmanti attività.
La manifestazione si svolge alla fine di giugno ed è possibile partecipare o assistere a sport come parapendio, longboard, rafting, arrampicata, base jumping e molto altro.
Midnight Sun Marathon
La Maratona del sole di mezzanotte è un evento podistico annuale che si tiene a Tromsø, città situata nell'estremo nord della Norvegia. È famosa per essere una delle maratone più uniche e affascinanti al mondo, grazie alla località e al periodo in cui ha luogo.
L'evento si svolge infatti a fine giugno, quando il sole a Tromsø non tramonta mai, creando un'atmosfera magica con la luce che splende per tutta la notte. La gara comprende diverse distanze, tra cui una maratona completa, una mezza maratona, una corsa di 10 chilometri e una gara per bambini.
Norway Cup
La Norway Cup è un torneo internazionale di calcio giovanile che si svolge ogni anno a Oslo. Si tratta di uno dei più grandi tornei al mondo di calcio per giovani giocatori e attira squadre da tutto il globo. L'evento si svolge nell'arco di una settimana alla fine di luglio ed è un appuntamento di rilievo nel calendario internazionale del calcio giovanile fin dal suo inizio nel 1972.
Oltre alle partite di calcio durante la Norway Cup vengono offerte una serie di attività culturali e di intrattenimento che creano un'atmosfera di festa per tutta la settimana.
Arctic Race of Norway
Si tratta di una gara ciclistica professionale su strada che si svolge nella Norvegia settentrionale ogni anno in agosto. La competizione attraversa alcuni dei paesaggi più belli della Norvegia e attira i migliori ciclisti da tutto il mondo.
L’Arctic Race of Norway è in effetti molto più di una gara ciclistica: è una celebrazione delle straordinarie bellezze naturali e della cultura unica della Norvegia settentrionale. Offre a ciclisti e spettatori un'esperienza indimenticabile in uno degli angoli più suggestivi e remoti d'Europa.
Norseman Xtreme Triathlon
Il Norseman Xtreme, ad agosto, è considerato come uno dei triathlon più impegnativi al mondo. La gara parte dall'Hardangerfjord, dove i partecipanti si tuffano da un traghetto e nuotano per 3,8 chilometri fino alla riva. La tappa in bicicletta prevede 180 chilometri su terreno impegnativo, tra cui la famosa "Zombie Hill ", una ripida salita di 10 chilometri con pendenze fino al 10%. L'ultima frazione della gara prevede una maratona, con l’arrivo in cima al monte Gaustatoppen, a 1.850 metri sul livello del mare.
Il formato di questa gara è unico, senza stazioni di rifornimento, drafting o supporto esterno. I partecipanti sono tenuti a portare con sé tutta l'attrezzatura, il cibo e l'acqua e c’è una squadra di supporto che presta assistenza lungo il percorso.
Oslo Marathon
È un evento molto popolare di corsa sulla lunga distanza che si svolge a settembre. Il percorso si snoda per le strade di Oslo, passando davanti a molti dei più famosi monumenti della città.
Questa maratona attira un gruppo molto composito di partecipanti, dai corridori professionisti che puntano a un tempo veloce fino ai principianti che cercano per la prima volta di completare tutta la distanza. L’evento è quindi aperto a partecipanti di qualsiasi età e livello di preparazione, e l'atmosfera inclusiva è una parte fondamentale del fascino della manifestazione.

Skandia Cup is Norway's second largest football tournament with a solid history since 1975. Approximately 13,000 players in over 900 teams are judged by more than 250 referees through almost 2,500 matches at Ladesletta in Trondheim. The MINI cup for 6-12 years, always on the weekend of week 25. The YOUTH cup for 13-19 years, always in week 26, with finals on Friday and Saturday.

The Clown Run is held every September, with all proceeds going to the Hospital Clowns. In 2026, the Clown Run will be held for the 15th time, join us! The Hospital Clowns work to ensure that children admitted to hospital have a daily life filled with humor, dreams and imagination. At St. Olavs Hospital, the Hospital Clowns are an important bright spot in an otherwise gray hospital day, but they need financial support to continue their work. That's why we students want to give something back to the city that we love, by helping the clowns stay in Trondheim. There will be opportunities to participate in: Children's races (1km), 5km and 10km. The children's race has an upper age limit of 12 years, but if your child wants to participate in the 5km race, we can accommodate that too. You can choose to register either with or without timing. T-shirts will be given out to everyone who registers, as well as goodie bags with lots of exciting content! After the race there will be an awards ceremony and Afterrun. “Tour de Trondheim” is an annual traditional orienteering weekend that in 2026 will be held from September 11-13. The races begin with a city sprint on Friday, September 11th with an arena at Buranbanen activity park, before the race moves to the forest starting from Hyllvatnet (Tulluan north) on September 12th and 13th. The races have trails for all ages and experience levels, and have plenty of facilities every day (kiosk, sports shop, toilets, childcare, etc.). Tough race up the rough stone stairway from Fjellveien to Sandvikspilen. Sandviksfjellet is a mountain in Bergen, and one of the traditional seven mountains that surround the city centre of Bergen. The mountain is 392 m high. Are you fit enough and over 12 years of age, you are welcome to participate. It is not necessary to be member of any sports team / organization. Mandelhuset and the tent on the quay will be transformed into a World Cup arena, and we show the matches on a big screen from the opening match on 11 June all the way through to the final on 19 July. There will be flags, cheers and football celebrations on every single match day! Welcome to a match at Sotra Stadium! Sections A, B, and E are reserved for the home team’s supporters and other neutral spectators. Section F is reserved for away supporters. Child tickets apply to children and young people up to the age of 16. Children who can sit on a lap do not need a ticket. Concession tickets apply to pensioners aged 67+, people with disabilities and/or disability pensioners. There will be open kiosks at the match. The gates open 45 minutes before kick-off.

The NM-mila is the start of a completely new concept, which will later be named Olavsløpet. This is a race that everyone can participate in - experienced competitive runners and those who want a challenge. Not least, it will be a good workout for the Norwegian Athletics Championships which start the next day! The route will eventually be marked as part of the cityscape in Trondheim city center, and will be named Olavstraseen. Even in Norway's third largest city, this is a route that does not conflict with car traffic. In other words - a perfect route to set new records on Strava! The course is 5 km long, is WA approved, and runs on historic grounds along the Nidelva River. The NM-mile itself is two laps of the course. The start and finish are at Trondheim Stadium. We believe this will be a great day dedicated to running and community!

Middle distance is race 2 in the orienteering weekend “Tour de Trondheim” organized by NTNUI orienteering, with the arena north of Hyllvatnet, Malvik ( LINK ). Did you know that this summer the Society is open all summer? That's right, this year Samfundet will be open for the summer! This means both indoor and outdoor seating at our beloved restaurant Lyche, and the World Cup and other sports in the Daglighallen! Lyche is open from 17:00, Wednesday to Saturday every week from June 5th to August 1st. Here you can have something good in a glass, enjoy the students' house both inside and in our new outdoor seating. The community also has a new menu with different dishes throughout the summer. The daily hall will also be open for all World Cup matches, and other football and sports throughout the summer! Come by alone or with a group!
