VESTLANDS MEET 2026 Espeland Prison Camp Arna Bergen!! This year we’re opening the meet on Thursday, with slightly reduced facilities. There will still be light food and drinks available, and music playing over the speakers. On Friday and Saturday, however, we go all in with live music, a cocktail bar, a BBQ menu, several large shared tents, and vendors who will be exhibiting and selling various items. Nattjazz (Nightjazz) is the longest jazz festival in Northern Europe and is arranged annually in late May / early June in Bergen. Nattjazz was founded in 1972 and is despite its age, now stronger than ever. Every year approximately 80 concerts are presented throughout the festival period. The main festival area is an old sardine factory, USF Verftet (United Sardines Factory), which now contains several concert venues plus exhibitions, theatre, cinema and artist studios. As an extreme metal festival, Beyond the Gates arose from the ashes of the cult Hole in the Sky festival in 2013. Whether you’re a boat owner or simply someone who loves coastal life and maritime culture, the Risør Wooden Boat Festival is something you should add to your summer plans. Stavanger21.07.2026 - 24.07.2026The Tall Ships Races to Stavanger
From 22 to 25 July 2026, Vågen in Stavanger will be filled with sailing ships, happy young people, concerts, exhibitions and activities for young and old alike. Everything is free – and everyone is invited to join in! The Tall Ships Races are annual international regattas that aim to develop and educate young people aged 15-25 through sailing training, regardless of nationality, culture, religion, gender or social background. At least half of the crew must be in this age group. The Tall Ships events are considered Europe's largest free family event. In 2026, the cities of Aarhus, Harlingen, Antwerp, Stavanger and Aalborg will be host ports in collaboration with the international sailing training organisation Sail Training International.

For over 70 years the Bergen International Festival has been an international meeting-place for creative forces and people of diverse backgrounds. The programme builds on classical music and theatrical art, branching out in a variety of directions. The Festival embraces international stars and newcomers, capacious concert halls and intimate recitals, the old, the new, and everything that occurs when they come together. The UNESCO city of Bergen, encompassing such historical venues as the home of composer Edvard Grieg and the 750-year-old royal seat Håkonshallen, is the backdrop for hundreds of experiences of living art and memories for life created by the Festival for fifteen days in spring every year.
