Black metal e jazz
La Norvegia è per tanti versi un paese di estremi, perciò non è forse un caso che generi musicali come il black metal e il jazz vi prosperino da tempo. Il black metal qui è di casa e non c’è occasione migliore per ascoltarlo che all’Inferno Metal Festival, che si tiene a Oslo a Pasqua. Festival internazionali del jazz si svolgono a Bergen, Molde, Kongsberg, Haugesund, Oslo, Lillehammer e altre località.
A proposito di estremi ecco Ekstremsportveko a Voss, il più grande festival di sport estremi, con in programma anche spettacoli di musica live. Da non perdere il festival jazz di Voss, Vossajazz, che ha luogo di solito in aprile.

Welcome to "Uranienborg" Polar Explorer Roald Amundsen's House "Uranienborg" rests peacefully by the shores of the Oslo fjord at Svartskog, outside Oslo. This was Roald Amundsen’s home for 20 years, until he disappeared in 1928. Today you can explore mementos from his expeditions - and his private life. "Uranienborg" is a museum where Amundsen himself has gathered the collection, which gives you a unique insight to the life of one of the greatest polar explorers in history. Ukraina på Litteraturhuset: Solidaritet gjennom litteratur – Krym og Ukraina
Rory Finnin is a leading researcher and communicator in Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar literature and is a professor at the University of Cambridge. He has written the book Blood of Others: Stalin's Crimean Atrocity and the Poetics of Solidarity (2022) about the genocide of the Crimean Tatars, Crimea's indigenous people, in 1944 and how literature – Crimean Tatar, Ukrainian and Turkish – helps to build solidarity and understanding of this trauma. Now Finnin is in the spotlight again with a groundbreaking monograph about Ukraine's national poet, Taras Shevchenko (1814–61), Freedom's Liberator: Taras Shevchenko and the Making of Modern Ukraine (2026). In collaboration with the Department of Foreign Languages (UiB) and the project UA-FLEX, Litteraturhusets Ukraina-serie invites you to a conversation with Rory Finnin. Summer is coming to an end and the stage is set for a Late Summer Train with Norsk Spisevognselskap at Gamle Vossebanen. Join an exclusive full evening with good food and drink while the train steams into the evening. Enjoy a wonderful three-course menu in our venerable dining car from 1937. Come aboard to tablecloths, set tables and a great atmosphere. Norsk Spisevognselskap has a full bar licence. The dining car is part of our wonderful vintage train that sets the mood for the evening; nostalgic teak carriages from the 1920s and 30s pulled by a steam locomotive. The route between Arna Gamle stasjon and Midttun stoppested is marked by a beautiful cultural landscape, exciting tunnels and cuttings. Departure from Arna Gamle stasjon at 18:30, with arrival no later than 18:15 at the station. The station opens at 18:00. Arrival at Arna Gamle stasjon at 22:00. The dining car is uncoupled from the train and remains at Arna Gamle stasjon until midnight, functioning as a bar with full licence. The ticket costs NOK 1,625 per person and includes the train ticket, food and drink (3 units). Ticket sales close Wednesday 2 September at 18:00. This year, the tram festival is held for the second time. The festival is organized by volunteer enthusiasts in Bergen, and has a varied musical program, with concerts on the tram, and at Bergens Tekniske Museum. Per i veri cinefili la Norvegia ospita numerosi festival cinematografici internazionali. Il Tromsø International Film Festival, a gennaio, ha un’atmosfera artica davvero speciale, mentre il festival Film fra Sør (Film dal Sud) a Oslo è dedicato a titoli nuovi e interessanti da Asia, Africa e Sud America. Bergen ospita il popolare festival cinematografico internazionale BIFF, che si svolge solitamente a ottobre.
E, non da ultimo, c’è anche un’ampia scelta di festival teatrali e letterari.
