Spiagge in Norvegia

Sabbia a sufficienza per tutti

Più o meno 1.800 chilometri separano le spiagge sabbiose di Lista nella parte più meridionale della Norvegia dalle dune vicino a Vadsø all’estremo nord.

La seconda linea costiera al mondo per lunghezza ha numerose spiagge che sono tanto diverse tra loro quanto lo è il resto della Norvegia. E, se questo non fosse abbastanza, hai anche libero accesso ai moltissimi laghi che coprono circa il tre per cento del territorio.

Mentre alcune delle spiagge norvegesi sono posti molto conosciuti dove incontri tanta gente, dalle famiglie locali ai surfer stranieri, molte altre semplicemente ti appaiono davanti quando nemmeno le stai cercando - come un paradiso in cui ti capita di inciampare e che sembra che solo tu abbia trovato.

Clima mite

Il clima e la temperatura dell’acqua sono spesso sorprendentemente miti durante la stagione estiva, grazie alla Corrente del golfo che riscalda l’intera costa norvegese, persino le zone più settentrionali. Dipende tutto da quello a cui sei abituato naturalmente - alcune splendide spiagge che si affacciano sul mare aperto nella Norvegia settentrionale o occidentale non sono per i pavidi - ma nella Norvegia meridionale la temperatura dell’acqua può raggiungere i 23° in piena estate.

Le temperature più calde aprono la possibilità a molti sport acquatici e attività in spiaggia. Sfidare le onde su un surf o uno stand-up paddle (SUP) è un ottimo esercizio prima di un abbondante picnic sulla spiaggia o sugli scogli levigati.

Nuotare in città – o lontano da tutto

Se stai programmando un city break e vorresti passare del tempo in riva al mare, molte cittadine hanno migliorato i loro servizi sulle spiagge o ne hanno creati di nuovi per accrescere la qualità della vita in città.

D’altro canto invece, su alcune spiagge più settentrionali puoi aspettarti di osservare una ricca fauna, e potresti ritrovarti nel mezzo di uno spontaneo e inaspettato safari alle balene o alle aquile di mare. Con 239.057 isole disposte lungo una linea costiera che è uguale a due volte e mezzo il giro del globo, le rilassanti spiagge norvegesi probabilmente non finiranno mai di sorprenderti.

Perché le spiagge norvegesi sono così speciali

Paragonate alle spiagge talvolta superaffollate di altri paesi, quelle norvegesi hanno meno gente, acque più pulite e zone circostanti non troppo trafficate anche nelle maggiori aree urbane come Oslo, Bergen e Trondheim.

Non solo starsene al sole

Un giorno al mare può essere facilmente abbinato ad altre interessanti attività come escursioni a piedi, bicicletta, pesca e sci. Sì, hai letto bene - nella Norvegia dei fiordi puoi fare una discesa sugli sci su una cima innevata e poi andare a fare il bagno nel fiordo tutto nello stesso giorno.

Il sole non tramonta mai

Molti turisti vanno nella Norvegia settentrionale per il sole di mezzanotte. Da maggio ad agosto puoi fare molte cose di notte: un bagno romantico, fare kayak o sci d’acqua su acque tranquille, o portarti qualcosa da bere in spiaggia e osservare il sole che splende fino alle ore piccole.

Spiagge Bandiera Blu

La prima spiaggia norvegese a ricevere l’ambito eco-label internazionale di Bandiera Blu è stata Bystranden nella città di Kristiansand. Nel 2020 la Norvegia ha ben 17 spiagge Bandiera Blu e molte altre si stanno dando da fare per ottenere la certificazione.

La certificazione di Bandiera Blu richiede qualità eccellente dell’acqua, spiaggia pulita, misure di sicurezza e presenza di bagnini, accesso per disabili, gestione della pulizia e dei rifiuti, presenza di servizi e bagni puliti, disponibilità di acqua potabile.

Diverse campagne nazionali, ufficiali e non, hanno contribuito a creare una coscienza collettiva per la pulizia delle spiagge e del mare da rifiuti indesiderati.

Campeggio sulle spiagge

Prima o poi l’aria fresca e il suono rilassante delle onde ti faranno venire sonno - in senso buono. Se vuoi passare la notte su una spiaggia o lì vicino, ci sono parecchi campeggi adatti anche ai bambini, accoglienti hotel e altre offerte di pernottamento lungo la costa della Norvegia.

Ricorda che nonostante il diritto di accesso norvegese sia molto esteso, non puoi montare la tenda a meno di 150 metri dalla più vicina casa o chalet abitati.
