Traghetti e navi veloci in Norvegia
La Norvegia ha una lunga linea costiera, con tanti fiordi e isole. Nella Norvegia dei fiordi e nella Norvegia settentrionale i viaggiatori deve spesso ricorrere a traghetti e navi veloci per spostarsi. Scegliere di usare un traghetto può quasi sempre accorciare notevolmente la lunghezza del tuo viaggio.
Le navi veloci e i traghetti per le auto navigano lungo tutta la costa, nelle acque riparate o in mare aperto, verso città, villaggi e isole grandi e piccole. Costituiscono il mezzo di trasporto ideale per un’avventura di island hopping o per seguire un itinerario di tua scelta.
Tieni presente che possono esserci code nei mesi estivi. Per i traghetti più frequentati è consigliabile arrivare per tempo all’imbarco. Tra questi ci sono in particolare i collegamenti Geiranger–Hellesylt e Lauvvik–Lysebotn nella Norvegia dei fiordi, e le tratte Bognes-Lødingen e Bodø-Moskenes nella Norvegia settentrionale.

Le navi Hurtigruten percorrono l’antica rotta da Bergen a Kirkenes, nel Finnmark. Il tragitto completo Bergen–Kirkenes–Bergen richiede 11 giorni. Dalla seconda metà dell’Ottocento le imbarcazioni sulle acque interne della Norvegia resero possibile il trasporto di passeggeri e merci attraverso i maggiori laghi e fiordi interni del paese.
