"Ridevegen" in Søndre Land

Ridevegen in Sønde Land Ridevegen is an old bridle path which is part of a 25 km round trip through one of the oldest settlements in Søndre Land. Ancient remains dating back to the Iron Age: graves, clearance cairns, a holloway and crofters' farms. The bridle path was described by Bishop Nilssøn in 1594; the old lane from Gjøvik to Fluberg was a main route until 1860. Changing landscape with spruce forests, meadows, marshes, bluebell hills, lush woods, cultural landscape, farms and fantastic viewpoints. Gravel lanes and forest paths. Information posters. Where should I start? Start/car park/information: Landåsbygda Sag, Bergegarda Grendehus, Fluberg church or Granum Gård. Recommended: The 9.9 km trip along Ridevegen from Landåsbygda Sag (505m above sea level) to Fluberg church (192m)
