Ultima Festival 2026

Welcome to a festival of bold, unexpected sonic experiences!

Through concerts, sound art, music theatre, exhibitions, dance and talks, the Ultima Festival embraces the full spectrum of experimental and innovative sound. For ten days each September, Oslo comes alive with music and creativity – across concert halls, clubs, museums and public spaces throughout the city. The programme spans an extraordinary range of genres, from contemporary classical music to pop, jazz, folk, noise, improvisation and rock.

This year's programme and line-up

This year's Ultima brings together returning voices, instruments that resist convention, bodies interacting with technology, and stories that refuse to be left behind. There is risk in this instability, and echoes that continue to haunt. But there is also space for play, curiosity, and exciting new ways of listening.
