The bridge guard

The children stumble upon a magical diary that brings the Bridge Watcher to life and they are drawn into his magical world. He is a grumpy little man with a brown twirling mustache, who guards the bridge into Trondheim city with an iron fist. He is obsessed with numbers and money, and demands an excessively high toll on anyone who wants to cross. One day he discovers that a little thief has stolen his food and some of his gold coins. When he and the children try to catch the "little thief" he discovers something he didn't even know he was looking for. The children become active helpers in an exciting journey to solve the mystery. But the deeper they dig, the more the Bridge Watcher changes.
