Summer organ series in Nidaros Cathedral

Summer is a time for enjoyment. Bright evenings, scents, colors and warmth open our minds to new experiences. We will take advantage of this beautiful time of year to offer concerts on the Nidaros Cathedral's fantastic organs. This evening with Brita Sjöberg, cathedral cantor in Nidaros Cathedral.

Brita Sjöberg comes from Dalarna in Sweden. In 2005 she received a master's degree in church music from the Piteå Academy of Music. This was followed by studies in the soloist class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

From 2010 she has lived in Norway and has worked as a cathedral cantor in Nidaros Cathedral since 2022. Sjöberg has given concerts around Scandinavia and the rest of Europe, and has participated as an artist at several international music festivals.

She has also played with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and the Norwegian Air Force Band. She is the artistic director for Trondheim in the network ECHO; European Cities of Historical Organs.
