Mass for hope and peace in Our Lady - open church

Welcome to "Mass for hope and peace" in Our Lady - open church on October 9th at 6:00 PM.

Mass for Hope and Peace is a musical jazz mass in concert format, written by Nikolai Hansli. The mass ties together the traditional mass sections and hymns, in an attempt to promote the word hope. It may seem a bit superficial at first glance, but the goal is to create music that can lift and look forward, music that one can rest in. The word hope is recurring in many hymns, which will be used in dialogue with the traditional mass texts. Musically, this work is a mixture of gospel, jazz, blues, classical music and meditative music. The ensemble consists of Nikolai Hansli on piano, Mads Lundh on piano and a choir consisting of NTNU students and others.
