Stay in the historic and authentic fisherman's cabins in the idyllic municipality of Bø. In addition to magnificent nature all around, you will be overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality of the locals.
The fisherman's cabins are idyllically located right down by the quay in the innermost part of the fjord by Straumsjøen.
From the fisherman's cabins you can enjoy the fantastic view over the fjord, the mountains and the fishing pier. The area is rich in wildlife, and white-tailed eagles live in several of the nearby mountains.
Vesterålen is also known as “Hikers paradise". In the immediate vicinity of the fisherman's cabins you will find fantastic hiking trails where you can climb beautiful mountains or visit white sand beaches with crystal clear water.
The nearest center is Straume, which is 1.4 km from the cabins.
Our cabins have been used by fishermen for several generations and all the cabins are named after fishing-boat owners. The oldest and most authentic hut can be dated back to the 18th century. Queen Sonja herself spent the night here in connection with her walking the famous coastal path that goes out from Straumsjøen.
AUTHENTIC FISHERMAN'S CABINS
The fisherman's cabins are still authentic - something you can only experience by sleeping in one of the original beds. Various cabinets that the fishermen used for their private belongings have been preserved.
While rich in history, the buildings have been well maintained over the years and fully updated (including WIFI) to meet today's requirements for comfort and enjoyment.
The fisherman's cabins consist of a modern bathroom and kitchen as well as a bedroom on the second floor. In the living room there is a sofa bed and dining area with views of the sea and mountains. You can also kick-back and enjoy life on the lovely terrace right outside your cabin, while surrounded by the sea and nature.
Parking spaces are conveniently located right beside the cabins.
