SUP stand for Stand up Paddleboard which is an activity with its roots from Hawaii like most board sports. It became very popular in USA in the 1990s and is now one of the fastest growing water sport in Europe. Unlike traditional surfboards, these boards are bigger when it comes to length, width and volume. The increased size makes the boards more stable and well suited for exploring the fjord. The fact that you are standing and paddling, gives you a better view and a different perspective of the water around you than in a traditional kayak. You have also the opportunity to sit or lay down on the board to relax, or take the board to a new place at the shore.
