With no two nights ever the same, our enthusiasm and dedication never fades. Every night requires a new plan, therefore we meet you at a central pick-up point, allowing us to discuss our choice for the evening as a group (max 7 people). This also creates more time for finding and experiencing the Northern Lights!
Our custom built tour van, is fully equipped with everything we may need in the arctic, allowing us to discover remote scenery, reaching the more calm and peaceful places. Sometimes this is a short drive to the surrounding coast of Tromsø, or if needed a longer drive into Finland.
Upon reaching suitable skies, we will set up camp for the evening. Some nights the Northern Lights are visible en-route to location, and can last throughout the evening. Other nights require patience and positivity, for us to witness a faint glow across the horizon. Even though the Aurora appears most nights, no forecast can predict what we are going to see, and its all about taking chances, therefore we recommend to join us more than once.
Staying comfortable on an Arctic winters night is essential. Warm up around the roaring campfire, whilst getting to know fellow travellers. Enjoy a hearty vegetable soup, something sweet, and hot beverages. All our cooking is homemade, organic and suitable for vegans. We also carry thermal clothing, to help keep you warm in sub freezing temperatures.
We understand how important the photos are! As passionate photographers we capture vibrant moments of you and the Aurora Borealis. If you choose to bring your own camera we provide the use of tripods, and offer help & advice on how to get the most out of your own photographs. All our images will be shared with you on a password protected gallery the very next day.
If you appreciate nature, seek good times, and enjoy meeting likeminded people, then this is the tour for you.
This tour can be customised to suit you and your group, for pick up time and place, or any special requests.
Combine this with our "Arctic Roadtrip: Kvaløya", a day trip exploring the diverse surrounding landscapes of Tromsø, with possibilities to spot wildlife.
*Northern Lights Sunset: Autumn (end August - beginning September), Spring (end March - April). During these times it is possible to see the Aurora, but may appear weaker, as the nights are brighter and shorter.
