OVERVOLL is the name of the farmland in the valley of Stranda, surrounded by steep mountains on both sides. The land was registered and named by the church as far back as the 15th century, but probably holds a much longer history. The farm is located in the middle of all other tourist highlights of the region as well: Trollstigen, Geiranger, Hjørungfjorden, Stryn and Ålesund. 

The rustic villas have eight rooms in total, which allows for a homey, non-commercialised atmosphere. All rooms have comfortable and modern double/twin beds with shared bathroom facilities. A rich, family-style, three course dinner is offered for our overnight guests. Breakfast, towels, and sheets are always included to ensure that you can focus on relaxation while with us. Just a few meters away from the villa, you will find a well maintained and challenging 9-hole mountain golf course, a driving range, a clubhouse with complimentary Wi-Fi, and parking on-site. Rental golf clubs are available upon request.

Team-Overvoll is willing to let you in on the restoration process of the rustic villas. You are always invited to learn about how the farmland was transformed into one of the most eco-friendly mountain golf courses in the world. We also invite you to learn about our focus for the future, through our ECO-tours and events. Longer stays are encouraged and include an invitation to slow down and take time to take in nature and go foraging with us. In winter you may enjoy a range of splendid cross-country and downhill skiing within immediate reach. You may also participate in a night filled with local and professional storytellers and bonfire under the stars.

The activities provided are to stimulate creativity, reflection and to broaden ones horizon. We aim towards making use of our own organic produce and utilize locally grown food as the seasons allow. We also make use of art, play and physical activities, and encourage meeting across borders to embrace language and cultural challenges, across all ages and sexes. At Overvoll we love to create a caring atmosphere and hope to give you a positive sense of personal belonging, to bring with you back home.
