Northern Lights Cruise on a Cozy Vintage Vessel

This tour is operated by Full Steam Tromsø.

Join an evening cruise from Tromsø aboard the historic vessel MS Strønstad, with the possibility of seeing the northern lights from the sea.

The tour begins at Full Steam Museum, where your guide gives a presentation about the northern lights before departure. You will learn more about the science, history and culture connected to the aurora, and the guide will talk you through the evening's conditions and planned route.

Guests will then board MS Strønstad and sail out from Tromsø. The vessel has warm indoor lounges where you can take a break from the cold. Coffee, tea and biscuits are included, and thermal suits are available to borrow during the cruise.

You can also visit the bridge on request, where you can meet the captain and learn more about the vessel and navigation.

A sauna and jacuzzi are available to book as optional extras. A towel and bathrobe are included when booking either of these. Remember to bring swimwear. Advance booking is recommended to secure availability.
