Experience the region's most fantastic view of fjords and mountains on Keipen.

We start the trip from our store in the center of Harstad. 25 minutes and a buss trip later we will be at 350 meters above the sea from where we will start our hike. Before we start, we'll adjust our snowshoes and go through a short briefing.

After a short while hiking, we will pass the tree border and get a taste of the view that is awaiting us from the top. 
It only takes about an 1,5 hours to reach the top of Keipen at 500 meters above the sea and from here we will get a fantastic panoramaview of Toppsundet, Kasfjord and Andfjord. On the other side we have a view towards the steep mountains of Grytøya, that still tell a tale of the last ice age.

The way to the top offers many different places to have a break, drink something and hear abit more about the nature around us. Once we reach the top we'll hav e a longer break where you can each your lunchpack and have something warm to drink.

To enjoy this trip you need good hiking/winter shoes and good clothing. Also have a look at our clothing recommendations for Northern-Norway. The trail can vary quite a lot form medium to difficult, depending on snow, ice and wind. Therefore we recommend you to be in a good physical form and have been on snowshoes before.
