Husky Safari with Harkinn Husky - Afternoon

This tour is conducted by Best Arctic. Just about an hour from Tromsø, you find our kennel, surrounded by mighty mountains and deep valleys, which makes this safari a real northern Norwegian, Arctic experience.
Here you will be greeted by happy huskies eagerly waiting to take you out on a fantastic dogsledding experience.

We have comfortable and warm winter suits, winter shoes, and mittens to keep you warm during the dog sledding adventure (60 to 90 minutes drive). After a short explanation (in English!) on how to handle the dogs and sleds, we will leave in pairs. One will be the "musher" (driver), and the other will be on the sled. You change places along the way. The huskies love to run, but you have to be part of the team and help them up the slopes. It is a fun experience, but also a little physical workout... This trip will give you a smile on your face and red roses on your cheeks. Back in the camp, hot soup and drinks await.

Meeting time and place: 11:45 (am) from the bus terminal Prostneset – Samuel Arnesens gate 5, Tromsø (Hurtigruten Terminal). Please check in at the Best Arctic desk on the 2nd floor.

If you have pre-booked pick-up from Tromsø Lodge & Camping: 11:00 (am) at the reception of Tromsø Lodge & Camping (choose this option during your booking).

Level of difficulty: Medium - We do not recommend this activity when pregnant, since the tracks can be uneven. Suitable for guests between 12 to 70 years old or fit people above 70 years old. Weight restrictions of 110 kilos per person.
