Hengjanefossen waterfall in Lysefjorden
Sightseeing boats and private yachts often stop on Lysefjorden in Ryfylke to savour the view of the beautiful Hengjanefossen fall.
Sometimes the captain chooses to sail right up to the falls, perhaps filling a bucket so that passengers may taste the pure mountain water. The strength of the waterfall varies naturally with the rainfall and meltwater.
The 400 m waterfall can also be experienced on a mountain walk along the northern shore of the Lysefjord.
