Haugar Vestfold art museum is worth a visit. Andy Warhols tribute to Munch is some of the museums permanent exhibitions. However, the museums also have different exhibitions throughout the year, which means its worth visiting more than ones. This year, 2018, there is an exhibition by Morten Krogvold. The exhibitions have portraits of well known people such as Nelson Mandela, Amanda Ooms, Frans Widerberg and princess Mette-Marit. Krogvolds focus on women’s living conditions in Eritrea, Kambodsja, Tanzania, Botswana, Niger and Peru and its an important theme in this exhibition.
This year, 2019, there is an exhibition by Sverre Bjertnæs. This exhibition is Bjertnæs’s largest retrospective museum exhibition to date, and features his works from the early 1990s – when Bjertnæs became a student of Odd Nerdrum at age 16 – to his recent paintings, installations and film productions. Highlights of the exhibition include major works from the series of youth portraits that portray the psychological tensions and vulnerabilities between the individual and the collective. Confusion Assistance, which was first shown in 2012 at Gallery K in Oslo.
