Guided walking tour of Bergen + a visit to Osterøy island

Begin your day with a guided walk through Bergen’s historic center, exploring the narrow lanes of Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the area around Klosteret at Nordnes and Skostredet in the Vågsbunnen. Your local guide shares stories of the Hanseatic era, trade, shipping, and the fires that shaped the city.

The tour then continues by bus to the coast and across the ferry to Osterøy, Northern Europe’s largest inland island. The short crossing brings you into a calmer landscape of fjords, traditional settlements, and rounded mountains — surprisingly close to Bergen.

On Osterøy, we visit the quiet village of Hosanger, where a simple, homemade lunch is served at a family run seaside venue. This stop offers a glimpse of everyday life in a rural fjord community.

The return journey takes us across the impressive Osterøy Bridge, with a photo stop overlooking the wide views of the Osterfjord, before heading back to Bergen.
