Family-friendly guided glacier hike on Buarbreen in Hardanger. A fun experience consisting of glaciers, rock formations and scenic nature in Odda, Hardanger.





Every day during the summer, you can join a short glacier hike on Buarbreen. No prior experience is needed. All necessary equipment is provided, and your guide will take good care of you throughout the experience.



The hike from Buer to the glacier is a varied walk through cultural landscapes and forest. Along the way, you’ll encounter streams, a suspension bridge, several other bridges, and ropes to help you climb up rocky sections. At the blue hut by the glacier, you’ll meet your guide and be fitted with the appropriate gear.



Buer Restaurant is open from 10:00–22:30. Here, you can pick up freshly baked cinnamon buns for your hike, enjoy lunch (13:00–15:30), or book a table for dinner from 17:30.

Departure times: 10:00 and 14:00



Age requirement: 13+



Total duration: 6 hours. Approx. 3 hours with guide.



Note: There is a 1.5-hour walk on your own to/from the parking area before and after the guided glacier hike.
