Fjellkysten gjestehus

We welcome everyone to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere at Fjellkysten. Fjellkysten is designed with inspiration from old Nordic architecture like the Vikings Langhus and the Sami Gamme. This is the place to let go of everyday stress and free your mind whilst also taking in the beautiful nature and picturesque surroundings.

To stay at Fjellkysten can be a special experience. Fjellkysten is built with inspiration from the old norwegian architecture. The house is halfway buried like a hut which also features a traditional Norwegian grass roof. You will not hear rain on the roof or wind against the outside walls.

Jacuzzi and Sauna
Our sauna is a traditional dry sauna that holds a temperature of approximately 70 degrees celsius and holds seven grown people. In addition to a sauna we have an outdoor whirlpool pool. Here you can sit in heatet water while seeing the northern lights dance in the sky, or maybe a sun that never sets, while you enjoy the view over the Lavangen fjord.

Activities
Fjellkysten gjestehus has a wide range of activities like wildlife safari and northern lights snowshoe trip. In addition to being the nearest hotel to the polar park. All the activities that Fjellkysten gjestehus offers is carried out in the beautiful nature in Lavangen, and many of them right in Fjellkysten’s backyard.

Brasseriet Naustet Restaurant
Brasseriet Naustet is our restaurant where the flavors are characterized by Scandinavian craftsmanship and a huge passion for food. Where local products and Nordic flavors are the main menu’s thread. All the food we cook is also the food we love. At our restaurant we have a rustic and exiting atmosphere, where you will be met by our friendly staff. We let the nature decide the kind of food we make inspired by the actual season. Our goal is to always suprise our guests and give them a really good and unforgettable experience.

Rooms and facilities
Most rooms have views over the bay, and in the winter this view is a great opportunity to see Aurora Borealis (the northern lighting). When the night sky is filled with shimmery light, it surely is a wonderful sight.
