Join us for an exciting historical hike from the days of coal mining to The Global Seed Vault on Svalbard.

Join us for an exciting historical experience where you will learn about everything from Svalbard’s days of coal mining to The Global Seed Vault.



After we pick you up at your accommodation, we will drive outside of the city boarders, where we will start our adventure with hiking to the summit of Blomsterdalshøgda at 320 meters above sea level.



We will be rewarded with a great view of Adventfjorden and its surrounding majestic mountains. Mine 3 can also be seen from the summit, and the remains of the coal mining period.



After the hike we drive up to the Global Seed Vault and you will learn about its interesting history. The Global Seed Vault is located far inside the mountain and you will only be able to see it on the outside.



Recommended to bring a small backpack for extra equipment like cold drink, warm jacket, camera. Remember comfortable and warm, stable hiking shoes.



Included transport to/from accommodation, hiking poles/ head lamps and snowshoe if needed, hot drink, biscuits and Guide with necessary safety equipment.
