Bardu Huskylodge

Bardu Huskylodge offers unique accommodation for everyone who enjoys nature, dogs and an authentic getaway. You will find the opportunity to relax and re-wind in one of our log cabins and explore the surrounding wilderness.

Besides our home and dog kennel we have three log cabins on the property that are available to rent.
The cabins 'Wanny Wolstad', 'Helge Ingstad' and 'Eivind Astrup' accommodate 2, 4 and 5 people
respectively and have been set-up and decorated with natural materials and attention to detail to
make your stay with us comfortable and memorable.
Each of the cabins has a kitchenette (no running water) and guests share the double shower and
bathroom in an adjacent building. The sauna is right next to the river and can be heated at an
additional charge; the cooling down in the Salangselva is for free :)
In winter we offer dog sledding tours with our world-class Alaskan Huskies and year-round you can
combine your stay with us with a visit to the nearby Polar Park– The world’s northernmost animal
park.
In summer there are countless possibilities in the area for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling,
fishing and canoeing. Or you can enjoy your time at the lodge: with the dogs, at the campfire in the
Lavvo or barbequing next to the cabin.
As soon as the temperature drops in fall we start to train our dogs for the coming winter season; of
course you’re welcome to join and experience firsthand the enthusiasm, dedication and passion of
sled dogs!
We are located less than 15 minutes off the E6, 60 kilometers north of Narvik and 190 km south of
Tromsø. A great stopover on your journey to or from Lofoten, Tromsø and Kiruna in Sweden.
Both the airports Bardufoss (1h) and Evenes (1h15m) are relatively close by. Upon request we provide
transportation to and from these airports as well as the nearby bus station along the E6.
