Authentic Northern Lights Package - Small groups only

Looking for more than just a one-time chase?Our promise: After this evening together, in a friendly and authentic atmosphere, the northern lights will no longer be a mystery to you and you will be able to chase them alone for the rest of your stay. We will remain available via WhatsApp to provide day-to-day tips, analysis and advices for each evening.

We will leave from Scandic Hotel at 19:00 and present you the plan for the evening: where we are going and why. Depending on the days, we sometimes will need to change spot throughout the evening or not. Sometimes we need to drive far, sometimes not. Every tour is unique and we will explain all the decisions we take based on latest weather forecasts and solar activity reports from the NASA.

When we find our main spot for the evening, we will make a fire and will grill waffles on it. We will also share a homemade cake and warm drinks.

During the evening, you can expect to discover:

• What are the 3 factors needed to spot the northern lights.
• What makes them appear or not.
• How to read and analyse the official datas from the NASA.
• How to determine a good spot to witness the auroras.
• Which app to use.
• How to take good pictures of the northern lights (even with most smartphones).
• Some legends and fun facts about the auroras.

Every evening is different, depending on where we have to drive we will be back sooner or later. Most of the time, we are back between 23:00 and 00:00. Some nights we are lucky to see the northern lights very early and are back earlier, some nights we have to drive far and are back later.

Remember northern lights are a complex natural phenomenon and nobody can guarantee they will appear. What we do guarantee you is that we only run the tour when we consider that chances are good for the evening (and yes, that means not every night).

We also commit to making sure the evening is memorable, with or without the lights :-)
