Let’s go on a backcountry wilderness skiing adventure together in the polar night, right after the sun has set. We will enjoy the beautiful, wild nature and the snow that glitters and feels soft beneath our skis. Perhaps we'll see the Northern Lights? Together we experience Tromsø’s untamed nature and the Arctic light.

This tour is conducted by Tromsø Ski Guides.

Included: A cross-country ski tour on flat terrain in beautiful natural surroundings, guided by an experienced and certified guide. The guide will share historical anecdotes related to skiing, Arctic winter and local traditions. The tour is beginner-friendly and will be adapted to the participant’s ski levels. The guide will bring a headlamp for each participant.

Please bring: Extra warm clothing in your backpack, like a down jacket or a down west, suitable for cold evenings outdoors. Bring warm drinks and a snack with you. Please wear wool base layers, fleece, wool socks and warm outer clothing like ski pants and ski jacket, as well as a buff and hat. It is recommended to bring an additional down jacket and two pairs of warm mittens/ski gloves per person.

Level of difficulty: Easy

Age: 12+ (ages 7-11 by request only)

Latest meeting time and place: 4:00pm (16:00) at Tromsø Outdoor (Fredrik Langes gate 14, 9008 Tromsø). You will meet a representative from Tromsø Ski Guides and collect your pre-booked equipment, including cross-country skis, poles, and ski boots. All equipment must be reserved and booked by each participant before the trip at www.tromsooutdoor.com. Equipment is not included. Transportation to the start of the ski tour and back is provided by taxi. The group will follow a designated route through beautiful winter landscapes, with several scheduled breaks and talks during the afternoon and evening.

Total Duration: 4-5 hours including transportation.
