Snowshoeing with Reindeer

This tour is conducted by Tromsø Arctic Reindeer Experience. You are provided with snowshoeing equipment and we take you on a tour up a nearby mountain. We have approximately 200 reindeer in this area so you will have the opportunity to feed them. The exact route will be determined by the weather conditions and we have options for the different levels of ability.

Requirements:
We choose the location of the snowshoeing tour according to the participants. The level of the tour is easy and no prior experience of snowshoeing is needed. We also always have a snowmobile on standby in case anyone would need assistance in getting back to the camp.

Itinerary:
-Pick up from the bus terminal inside Tromsø Havn Prostneset (Samuel Arnesens gate 5, 9008, Tromsø) at 9.45AM (or 12.45 PM for afternoon tours)
-25-minute bus drive to the reindeer camp
-Approximately 2-hour snowshoeing tour
-Warm drinks and lunch (Bidos / vegetarian stew) inside a warm "gamme", a traditional Sami hut
-25 min bus ride back to Tromsø city centre. Back in Tromsø at about
-14.00 (or 17.00 for the afternoon tours)

General information:

Included: Transportation, lunch (bidos / vegetarian stew) - hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) and cookies, snowshoes and poles (we can also lend jackets if needed)
Please bring: Warm clothes (at least two layers), gloves and hat, good winter boots.
Departure time and place: 10:00 AM (10:00) or 1 PM (13:00) for the afternoon tours from the bus terminal inside Tromsø Havn Prostneset (Samuel Arnesens gate 5, 9008, Tromsø) - Look for blue jackets with the "Tromsø Arctic Reindeer" logo on

For the afternoon tour (13:00 / 1 PM) please arrive at 13.30 / 1:30 PM
For the evening tour (18.00 / 6 PM)) please arrive at 18.30 / 6:30 PM
