The Sjølingstad Wool Factory was established in 1894 and today holds the status of a national monument to Norway's textile industry.

The Sjølingstad Wool Factory was founded in 1894. Today, the factory is a living museum factory with its own power plant, dye house, spinning mill, weaving workshop, and finishing department. During tours, various machines and production processes are demonstrated. The museum factory has its own museum shop, changing exhibitions, and a simple café.

In the summer season (June 20–August 20), there are daily guided tours of the factory. There is a wool workshop for families and other activities for children both indoors and outdoors during opening hours. An outdoor scavenger hunt is also available.

The museum shop is open Tuesday–Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. outside of the summer season and Christmas. The shop is accessible without a ticket, except during special events.

Group tours and wool workshops can be booked year-round.
