





The restaurant Mandelhuset is situated in the heart of Våge at the island Tysnes, in great maritime surroundings.
Mandelhuset offers an à la carte menu with starters, main courses and desserts, as well as a separate children's menu. The menu is based on Norwegian ingredients, and the food is prepared with knowledge and care.
The menu changes four times a year. A separate set menu for groups is also available on request.
Mandelhuset is located by the waterfront in Våge. The three old white buildings with green trim on the former steamship quay were once a general store and a quay for fjord boats. Today, the site has been transformed into a warm and cosy restaurant where the kitchen uses Norwegian ingredients to create enjoyable dining experiences.
The current owners have operated Mandelhuset since 2005, but Mandelhuset was established in 1995 after the general store closed in 1994, having been in operation since 1923. The hosts describe their mission as follows:
“Our task is to be a good restaurant and meeting place on Tysnes. We will do our part to make Tysnes a good place to live and visit.”

Thursday: 15:00–19:00
Friday: 15:00–21:00 (bar until 23:00)
Saturday: 13:00–21:00 (bar until 23:00)
Sunday: 13:00–19:00
During the summer season (from mid-June to mid-August), Mandelhuset is open every day.
