Kleppeloen (Kleppelunden) is an easily accessible local recreation area with wide gravel paths, benches, a playground and barbecue areas – ideal for young and old alike.

Kleppelunden is a family-friendly park situated in Kleppe. The park has an extensive network of paths, including a floodlit trail suitable for both walkers and cyclists. Kleppelunden is therefore a popular spot for both those who exercise and families wishing to enjoy nature in peaceful surroundings.

Extend your walk to the Millennium Site at Kleppevarden

If you’d like to extend your walk, you can head over Hålandsfjellet or up to Kleppevarden. From Kleppevarden, you’ll be treated to a magnificent view of Jæren. Kleppevarden was designated the ‘Millennium Site’ in Klepp. A monument has been erected at the summit to mark the 1,000th anniversary.

Facilities at Kleppelunden

You’ll find car parks on Kleppelundsvegen and by the cyclo-cross track. The bandstand in Kleppelunden is used for concerts, gatherings and other events. Toilets are available here. Kleppelunden is accessible to wheelchair users.

Public transport

Take bus 52 from Bryne or Sandnes to the Kleppekrossen stop. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Kleppelunden. Check the latest timetables and the best route using Kolumbus’ journey planner.

Kleppelunden and Kleppevarden are used by both walkers and the local community. Keep the area clean, take all your rubbish with you or use the bins, and keep your dog under control. Please be considerate of local homes, other visitors and cultural heritage sites.
