Near Skjærhalden center is "the city beach" Kroksand, suitable for the whole family.

Kroksand beach is close to Skjærhalden center on the Hvaler Islands, within easy reach of the cafes, restaurants and shops. A popular city beach with a nice sandy beach, swim pier and a diving tower. There are showers and public restrooms. During the summer season a swimming-wheelchair is available for people with disabilities.
