What to wear in Norway - Year-round tips

Norway’s weather can change quickly, so it’s always a good idea to dress in layers:

• Spring (March - May): A warm jacket, light wool or fleece layers, and waterproof shoes. Bring a scarf and gloves - it can still be chilly!

• Summer (June - August): Light clothes for sunny days but always pack a sweater and a light rain jacket. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

• Autumn (September - November): Layers are key. Bring a warm jacket, windproof outerwear, and sturdy shoes.

• Winter (December - February): Dress warmly! Wool underlayers, thick sweaters, a winter coat, hat, gloves, and proper winter boots will keep you comfortable, especially if you’re heading out to ski or explore.

Always check the weather services before packing, the weather in Norway can be unpredictable.
