Fjord and History Cruise

This tour is operated by Hermes II.

Join a 2.5-hour cruise through the Tromsø Sound and the nearby fjords and islands. Along the way, you can enjoy the views from the deck or explore the restored wooden boat Hermes II.

The hosts will share stories about the boat’s history, the places you pass and the German battleship Tirpitz, which was sunk outside Tromsø during the Second World War.

There are good opportunities to see white-tailed eagles and other seabirds. Seals and reindeer may also be seen along the coast, but wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed and are less common during the Polar Night.

During the cruise, you will be served a hot fish cake as well as coffee and tea. Snacks and soft drinks can be purchased on board.

Food and drinks: Snacks and soft drinks can be purchased on board. Guests may not bring their own food or drinks. Exceptions may be made for young children and guests with allergies.

Meeting time and place: No later than 15 minutes before departure, directly beside the boat at pier 12 on the seaward side of Kystens Hus, Stortorget 1. The boat is called Hermes II.
