Welcome to Eplet Bed & Apple in Solvorn

Eplet Bed & Apple is a small, family-run guesthouse and working smallholding with its own juice production, located in Solvorn by the Lustrafjord in the heart of the Sognefjord region of Western Norway.

The property is set in an orchard just a short walk from the centre of Solvorn, a small fjord village with a beach, café, and traditional wooden houses.

Eplet offers simple accommodation in double rooms, a dormitory, and tent pitches in the orchard. Guests share the kitchen, garden, and outdoor areas, all with views of the fjord and surrounding mountains.

Solvorn as a Base for Exploring the Sognefjord

Eplet is often used as a base for exploring the inner Sognefjord region over several days. From Solvorn, some of the area's best-known attractions are within easy reach:

• Hiking to Mount Molden for panoramic fjord views

• Visiting the Urnes Stave Church by ferry from Solvorn

• Cycling along the fjord and towards the Feigefossen Waterfall

• Day trips to Nigardsbreen Glacier and Jostedalsbreen National Park

Many guests choose to stay for several nights and use Eplet as a starting point for exploring the mountains, fjords, and glaciers of the region.

A Working Smallholding

Eplet is an active smallholding. Fruit and berries from the farm are pressed into juice in the cellar. The farm shop sells homemade juice, eggs from the farm’s own hens, and seasonal produce.

In front of the main house is a small vegetable garden where guests are welcome to pick produce during the growing season. There is also a small rabbit enclosure where children can meet and interact with the rabbits.

Guests stay close to a working farm throughout the season, while remaining independent from the day-to-day farming activities.

Atmosphere

Eplet is an informal and relaxed place with shared facilities such as the kitchen and garden. Some guests spend their days hiking in the mountains or exploring the fjord, while others relax in the garden or walk down to Solvorn Beach.

Practical Information

Eplet is located in Luster Municipality, Vestland County. The property is easily accessible by bus via Sogndal, with local connections onwards to Solvorn. During the summer season, bus services also operate across the Sognefjellet mountain pass to Lom. Both Jotunheimen and Breheimen National Parks are easily accessible from Eplet.
