Eidfjord New Church

On May 31st  1981 the new Church in Eidfjord was consecrated. The new church is a modern functional building with scope for many more activities than the old church.

Here we have a church hall for large gatherings, smaller meetingroom with a cozy fireplace for different groups and an office space for official duties, etc.



The decoration over the alter has been designed and effected by Dagfinn Instanes. The organ has been built by the Swedish organ builder Nils Hammarberg and it has 16 stops (voices). The babtismal front, the gilded leather chairs and a number of the items are all made in Eidfjord and surrounding district.
