This is a unique experience that you are bound to remember for the rest of your life.

The first lighthouse light at Lindesnes was lit in 1656, making it Norway’s very first lighthouse. The lighthouse stands at the southernmost point of the Norwegian mainland and has been an important navigation landmark for over 350 years. From 1920 to 1987, a foghorn was used to warn ships in poor visibility. Today, two lighthouse keepers still work at Lindesnes, the last in Norway to hold this profession.

Stay at Norway’s southernmost point – one of the apartments with a view straight out to the sea

Welcome to a truly unique overnight experience – in the apartment located right next to the lighthouse keeper’s house at Lindesnes, just below the iconic Lindesnes Lighthouse. Lighthouse keepers, assistants, and their families lived here until the late 20th century, and now you can experience this historic atmosphere yourself.

The apartment spans two floors and has everything you need for a comfortable stay:

  • First floor: Cozy living room with wood stove and double sofa bed, dining room, fully equipped kitchen (stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher), and hallway.

  • Second floor: One bedroom with four beds, bathroom, and hallway.

The apartment accommodates up to six people.

From the apartment, you have panoramic views to the south and the sea – a spectacular and ever-changing backdrop, perfect for relaxation and inspiration.

You can book a stay here year-round, and during winter we offer a special "work week" – ideal for those seeking peace and focus to write, think, or immerse themselves in a project in unique surroundings.
