1 week biking in Lofoten

Day 1 Sunday. - Svolvær
when you arrive in Svolvær by plane or boat you will be met by one of Reineadventures guides. They will show you to your accomodation for the night and if you really want you can get the bike the first night. Maybe go for a midnight ride since the sun is up anyway.

Day 2 Monday. Svolvær – Kabelvåg – Henningsvær. 25 km
we meet for breakfast so we can go through the week on the map before you skedaddle along on your adventure.

Day 3 Tuesday. Henningsvær – Gimsøy – Hov 35 km

after breakfast at the hotel you backtrack the 8 km to the E10 before riding west towards Gimsøya. Take your time to stop at the sculpture by Dan Grahams on the left side of the E10, look for the «skulpturlandskap» sign along the road. Localy this sculpture is called «the shower curtain»
Riding around Gimsøya is a beatiful ride with open ocean on your side. This is also a great day for a visit to the beach, maybe a swim? Hov is a great spot for midnightsun.

Day 4 Wednesday. Hov – Leknes 50 km,
Todays ride will take you along the coast on the inside of Lofoten, the road to Stamsund has stunning seneray, and you will almost 100% sure see eagles flying high up between the mountain tops. We will stay off the main road almost the entire day. There are a few extra loop option aswell before arriving at your hotel, if you have some more energy?

Day 5 Thursday. Leknes – Ballstad 30-80 km
several options for today, viking museum, sculpture, beaches. If you want a slow day the stretch to Ballstad is not far, but since you have some of the most fantastic beaches and remote places its worth getting those kilometers rolling.

Day 6 Friday Kræmmervika – Reine 50 km
Today it is only one way going west, and its the e10, but what a stretch. The mountains reaching for the sky on both sides of the road while you ride along the fjord. Maybe a visit to the Flakstad church. And a visit to the beaches in the area is a must, Flakstad, Ramberg or Fredvang.
The black smith in Sund is a great spot for lunch and about half way.

Day 7 Saturday Reine – Å – Reine. 20 km.
Short day in km, but combine this with museum, hikes and view point and the day is gone before you know it.


Day 8 Sunday
Ferry back to Bodø

This tour can be guidet, self-guidet with panniers or self-guidet with luggage transfer.
You will be met by one of our bike guides, he/she will help to get your bike set up and go through the week with you and give you the inside for our beatiful island.
