The song that brings us together

Stavanger Music Council and Jernbanens Musikkorps present a concert featuring 150 choir singers from across Rogaland.

The concert marks the culmination of a project bringing together singers of all ages, with the human voice at its heart. Participants come from a wide range of choirs, including music school choirs, church choirs, pop choirs, senior choirs, symphony choirs and opera choirs. Young people and adults, amateur and experienced singers unite in a shared musical expression where diversity is a strength and community is the foundation.

The programme spans a variety of genres, from folk music from different countries and cultures to contemporary works, performed both with and without Jernbanens Musikkorps.

The musical director is Torbjørn Dahl, who also conducts Jernbanens Musikkorps. Choir directors are Kjersti Bjørk Bru, Tuva Ydstad Gederø, Alexandra Orzechowska-Niedziela, Jakub Niedziela and Eva Bjerga Haugen.

The project is supported by the Regional Cultural Fund and Stavanger Municipality.
