Stavanger Symfoniorkester: Chabrier, Telemann Og Sibelius

French colours, Baroque elegance, and Nordic grandeur come together in this evening’s programme.

Chabrier’s playful and poetic Suite Pastorale opens the concert, followed by Telemann’s beautiful Viola Concerto, performed by the orchestra’s own principal violist. The concert concludes with Sibelius’ powerful Fifth Symphony – a magnificent work inspired by the forces of nature and the Finnish sky, featuring a finale regarded as one of the most triumphant moments in the symphonic repertoire.
