Erik Bye was a towering figure in Norwegian public life. In March, this acclaimed show was performed at Oslo Concert Hall to standing ovations. In October, you can experience it here at the concert hall, featuring guest artists Espen Hana and Stavanger Vocalensemble.

Join Hakon Wester and Erik Bye’s granddaughter, Marianne Bye Granheim, for a moving anniversary performance celebrating the life and music of one of Norway’s most beloved cultural figures. Erik Bye’s songs are performed alongside photographs, film clips and stories from his unique and multifaceted life. They are joined by local guests Espen Hana and Stavanger Vocalensemble.

Hakon and Marianne invite you to a warm and intimate full-evening concert experience. Blending music with a touch of sea spray, poetry and social engagement, the performance also takes audiences on a journey through Norwegian media history and cultural heritage.
