Christmas spirit with Lise Davidsen

Opera star Lise Davidsen is taking Norwegian venues by storm with her Christmas concert!

One of the greatest opera stars of our time, Norwegian soprano Lise Davidsen, announces her biggest concerts in Norway: Oslo Spektrum on 5 December and DNB Arena in Stavanger on 2 December 2026.

She will be joined by a number of acclaimed collaborators, including the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK), Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Grete Pedersen, Norwegian Soloists' Choir Youth and Leif Ove Andsnes, performing beloved Christmas classics.

Lise Davidsen, often described as “the voice of the century”, has in just a few years established herself as a leading force on the world's greatest opera stages. She is a regular guest at the Metropolitan Opera, Vienna State Opera, Bavarian State Opera and the Royal Opera House in London, where she has received exceptional acclaim from audiences and critics alike.

For the concert at Oslo Spektrum, she will be joined by the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK) and Norwegian Soloists' Choir Youth, while in Stavanger she will perform with Norwegian Soloists' Choir Youth and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. Grete Pedersen and Leif Ove Andsnes will appear at both concerts.

Her breakthrough came in 2015, when she won the top prizes at Operalia, the Queen Sonja International Music Competition and the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition. Since then, she has made triumphant debuts at leading opera houses and festivals around the world, which have repeatedly invited her back.

Highlights include appearances at the BBC Proms and Salzburg Easter Festival, her Carnegie Hall debut and the prestigious Vienna Summer Night Concert, performed before an audience of more than 100,000 people. Her solo concert at the Metropolitan Opera sold out.

“Lise Davidsen has a voice like no other. This will be the first time a Norwegian opera singer has presented her own production at Oslo Spektrum and DNB Arena, making this especially significant. We are incredibly proud to present two major evenings with a true international star,” says organiser Tim Salvesen of FKP Scorpio.

As an exclusive Decca artist, she has also achieved great success with her recordings, including orchestral albums, Wagner recordings, Grieg songs with Leif Ove Andsnes and a bestselling Christmas album.

As Lise Davidsen now returns home to Norway for these concerts, everything is in place for two truly unique evenings.
