Bang, boom, crash, smash and sound!
For many years, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra has explored connections and similarities between classical music and natural science. Sounds boring? Not at all! We bring the most exciting experiments into the concert hall, add sound and rhythm from the orchestra – and then anything can happen! Few presenters convey enthusiasm and humour better than Andreas Wahl.
Andreas Wahl is a physicist, TV presenter, author, and inventor – known for making science entertaining and easy to understand. He has risked his life for science in Med livet som innsats, educated the public through eight seasons of Folkeopplysningen, and prepared the nation for Katastrofe – all for NRK.
He has written books such as Physics Magic and Why Does Cheese Melt but Not Ham?, and created products like The Christmas Bauble and The Science Calendar. Wahl has received the Mensa Prize, the Academic Prize, and a Gullruten Award, and holds a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest science lesson.
